US Certified (USDA) Premium Black Angus Short Ribs Primal Cut

Preparation Time: 20 mins Cooking Time: 30 mins Serving: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1.5kg Beef Short Ribs
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp Tabasco sauce

Method:

  1. Heat oven to 220°C. Place the ribs onto a wire rack with a tray underneath & bake for 1 hour. You can baste the ribs with the marinade every 15 minutes if you want additional flavour.
  2. If you are cooking these on the BBQ, heat the barbeque with the hood closed & bake on a wire rack in the barbecue until the ribs are browned & cooked through.
  3. You can use the rest of the marinade as a pour-over sauce as long as you bring it to the boil and simmer for 2 minutes. Do NOT use it without heating it as the raw pork has been sitting in it and you will risk contamination or make a new portion of of the marinade as above, bring to boil and simmer for 2 mins until thickens.

Serve with salad and/or baked potatoes.
