How To Prepare Grilled Bavette Steak With Whiskey Peppercorn Sauce? 😍😍🌈🌈

Ingredients:

  • 800g bavette steaks
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon coarse black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic

whiskey peppercorn sauce

  • ¼ cup whiskey
  • 1 tablespoon crushed peppercorn
  • ½ cup beef stock or bone broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions:

  1. Trim any excess fat from the bavette steak and pat it dry. Cut the steak into your desired portion sizes. Mix the salt, black pepper, and garlic granules, then sprinkle generously over both sides of the steak.
  2. Heat a cast iron pan over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for two minutes on each side until it develops a crust.
  3. Transfer the pan to a preheated grill and grill it covered. Check the temperature after five minutes and remove the steak when the thickest part reaches 130°F (54°C). Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  4. In the same pan, pour in the whiskey and add the crushed peppercorns when you see a bit of smoke. Simmer for 1 minute, then add the beef stock and stir. Let it simmer for another 2 minutes.
  5. Add the double cream and salt, stirring for about 8 minutes until the sauce thickens. Slice the steak against the grain and plate it, drizzling with the whiskey peppercorn sauce.
