A number of restaurants in Hong Kong display options of Mongolian hamburger recipe in their list. There are three different sauces for the hamburger and these are the chili garlic mayo, hoisin ketchup, and asian slaw. Ground beef is used in the hamburger along with these sauces.
Ingredients:
- 4 brioche buns
- 1 tbsp melted butter, optional
- sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp olive oil
To Make The Burgers
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
- heaping 1/3 cup PF Changs Mongolian Sauce
- 1 tsp hot chili sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- salt & pepper, to taste
For The Chili Garlic Mayo
- 1/2 cup mayo
- 1 tsp asian garlic chili sauce
For The Hoisin Ketchup
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
For The Asian Slaw
- 4 cups coleslaw, large pieces removed
- 1 cup matchstick carrots
- 2 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
